Transportation Services

Drivers are a direct link between our families' homes and PICA. Door-to-door transportation is available to all parents and used by most.

Drivers are personal ambassadors for our agency. They see our children and families more often than any other staff member does. They have the unique opportunity to communicate with parents and family members each day and listen to what is happening in the lives of the family. But the word “driver” does not truly reflect the many services PICA’s transportation team provides to children and families. When not driving, drivers stay in their Centers and work with children in the Head Start or Early Head Start classroom, assisting teachers and providing classroom breaks.
